The benefits of Pulsant colocation

With our colocation service, you simply move your equipment into our data centre and we will look after the costly supporting infrastructure: building fabric, power, cooling, connectivity, and physical security. As your IT needs grow, your data centre footprint can scale accordingly.

  • We’ll take care of your systems and data so you can take care of your business

We appreciate that maintaining high levels of uptime is essential: in business-critical or customer-facing IT systems any downtime will result in loss of business and reputation. That’s why we have multiple levels of equipment redundancy to maintain a functioning data centre environment even in the face of major disruptions to IT operations such as power outages.

Every Pulsant data centre is designed from the ground up to be secure and reliable.

    • Multiple UPS banks
    • Diverse N+1 power supply
    • Equipment redundancy
    • On-site diesel generators
    • Multiple redundant cooling systems
    • Multiple diverse network connections
  • A local facility for maximum convenience

We recognise that you want your own engineers to have access to your servers, so we have data centres across the UK, allowing you to choose a location that is convenient for you. Your equipment will always be available to your engineers, subject to the access protocols of our data centre security.

Our expert data centre engineers are available and can perform many routine or emergency tasks for you. We call this “remote hands”, where our engineers act on your behalf.

    • Ten facilities located across the UK
    • Ideally located to major road & rail links
    • 24-hour access
    • Full range of supplementary services
  • Looking after your systems and data is our prime concern

Our data centres offer a high level of physical security for your systems. With multiple levels of access control, internal and external CCTV, on-site staff, perimeter fencing, escorted visitors, you can be sure that your servers are well protected. Pulsant’s ISO 27001 accreditation for IT security covers all of our data centre facilities.

Where you have heightened security needs, we can provide secure cages to isolate your racks or even dedicated private rooms with their own secure access controls.

    • Secure access controls
    • Internal and external CCTV
    • ISO 27001 accreditation for IT security
